Yer a little light on the ladies there
Check out @OMG, @GetShouty, @annikskelton, @zebrabites
And that’s just for starters
Kate Richardson’s last blog post..Do audiences expect their theatre to be brand free?
Posted by Kate Richardson | January 13, 2009, 11:39 amLucio
I’m delighted to be on the list – that you think my influence and value to the community is that high is very flattering. Thank you. Like Laurel and a couple of others here, my blog at acidlabs is in the AdAge Power 150 (equally astounding and flattering).
While Mr Mansfield is someone to watch, it’s not for reasons that he should be proud of – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Mansfield. His notoriety (for want of a less flattering word) precedes him…
BTW, you’ve got the text for my Twitter address incorrect, even though the link is right.

Posted by Matt | January 13, 2009, 9:32 pmGreat list Lucio, thanks for including me on the list. I look forward to watching it grow.
Kate, I think the fact that it is light on in terms of females is probably because it is a reflection of the ratio in the Twitter/Blogosphere of male to female.
Julian Cole’s last blog post..A Digital Perspective – Crystal Ballin’
Posted by Julian Cole | January 13, 2009, 10:17 pmThanks for the inclusion Lucio. I’m in some amazing company.
This is a great list as you’ve made it based on the value to you rather than a quantitative measure. I think that is what makes Twitter special – the ability to get value in bit sized chunks that meets your particular needs.
Your 20 may not be the next person’s top 20, but people that follow you are likely to be interested in who you follow, and what you have found. That’s also why I retweet often – everyone’s networks aren’t the same but the knowledge can be valuable to others.
Again, great list and I’ll catch up with you on twitter!
Posted by Keith Don | January 13, 2009, 10:21 pmHi Lucio.
Great list. Helps the rest of us grow good lists more quickly – thanks.
Added 80% of them. Look forward to a more extensive next step.

Posted by Jeff Richardson | January 13, 2009, 10:45 pmHi Lucio,
Great list, and a humble thanks for the nomination :)
You’re right in terms of expecting this list to grow – Australia’s Twitter community is becoming really vibrant as more and more people enter the fray, which is all very exciting. The by-product of this is not just growth on Twitter but across social media generally as practices such as blogging and other platforms start to become even more mainstream in terms of participation.
Thanks once again for the inclusion.
Posted by Trevor Young (PR Warrior) | January 13, 2009, 10:47 pmblatant self promotion for an up’n'comer@andrewdever

Markus Hafner’s last blog post..eskimo_sparky: making magic happen
Posted by Markus Hafner | January 14, 2009, 4:36 amHey Lucio!
Thanks for the addition mate – I’m very touched and honoured to be amongst such a cool group of people. I’ve had the pleasure to work with a few and feel the likes of @keithdon, @rosshill and @juliancole make the world a better place.
@kate richardson I agree the list is a little light on but also tend to agree with @juliancole that it’s a demo thing rather than anything else. I agree with your list and also recommend: @becmatheson, @cait, @hsuenwen and @tephdee
Finally, @andrewdever, my presence on the list gave me a bump of 29 people since the post went live…which is roughly a 10% increase in my followers. On average, I get maybe 2-3 followers a day so it certainly has been great for me on a follower level.
Thanks again Lucio!!!

You are a little light on the ladies there, but I would have to disagree with Julian Cole about Twitter being a male-dominated arena.
I think it just depends upon the area of the blogosphere that you frequent. :)
