5 Reasons IPhone Won’t Hit.

The big buzz on the market is the release of the IPhone. The question is will it or won’t it succeed?
My opinion is no, IPhone won’t be a big hit.
Apple is betting people will run desperately for the most expensive telephone (5 times more than people are willing to pay).
Everyone seems to be in love with this product, but will this love turn into sales?
I don’t think so, and the reasons are:

1. As Laura Ries says – this is a convergence product – It tires to combine multiple functions into one device. All the convergence products tend to fall after sometime – see ROKR, N-Gage and the Nokia Communicator.
2. The past history showed that convergence it doesn’t go quite easy and smooth as would dream Apple. The prevision of TV and Internet combined didn’t happen.
3. All-in-one product – All devices with all-in-one need to compromise some of their compounds as battery, quality, material, size, etc., not delivering what they promised. They can do lots of things but nothing really well.
4. The IPhone has not been tested for the consumers yet. The product has created a great expectation and now it needs to deliver it, otherwise will be doomed.
5. Screen – will users get used with the replacement of keyboards?
6. (This one is not official, since that I haven’t seen the product yet) – Grease on screen, coming from face (bigger surface) and fingers.
