I’ve been busy.
I’ve been absurdly busy.
Normally I’d write a post like “Sorry guys, I haven’t updated this blog as I’d like, it happens….blablabla” However since we keep preaching about social engagement and online conversation I decided to really share my last movements
Why I am so Busy since my last post?
I’ve been busy with

What I’d love to be doing right now – not necessarily on this order
- Watching New Season of Heroes or one of the new 10 movies I’ve got
- Seeing more smiles from my clients
- Walking my dog
- Helping someone in need
- reading Again David Ogilvy’s book “Confessions…
I need more time. I need time to make each of these contacts points relevant and important
When my action involve people I believe that whatever we are making, designing, shipping, selling, emailing, talking it’s a Big Event for the people “buying” it and using it. It may be just another contract or contact to us, but someone is counting on it being remarkable.
Not a necessarily strategical post but a conversational one.
How about you? Let me know a little bit about you on the comments. Share something you’re doing or something you did or planning to do. That’ll be fun
Cheers

Posted by John McCain | January 28, 2009, 11:48 pmWell, you do seem to have a bit on your plate there, and here i was thinking that a full time job was a little bit of a problem. I would not mind having all that on my plate if it was keeping me busy and paying the bills.

Kate Richardson’s last blog post..Scoring big on sponsorship ROI models
Posted by Kate Richardson | January 29, 2009, 6:15 amIf you weren’t busy, I’d be worried!
Posted by Zac Martin | January 30, 2009, 1:40 pmAh Lucio. Tis but the life of an online marketer, particularly one with such an entrepreneurial streak. Likewise, I try (mostly ineffectively) to juggle the mix of:
- A full-time job
- Part-time blogging (and all its ramifications)
- Exercise 4 times a week (fitness nazi)
- Making time for friends outside the online marketing circle (important!)
- Wedding planning
At the end of the day, it means I have to sacrifice things. For instance, I do nowhere near enough face-t0-face networking as I should, because despite the best of intentions, if I do find a couple of hours up my sleeve, a little down time looks mighty appealing.
At the end of the day, trying to do too much isn’t necessarily a recipe to success. Instead of doing a few things really well, you’re more likely to do a whole lot of things about 25% of your potential/capacity.
James Duthie’s last blog post..Social media mythbusting – My product is too boring
Posted by James Duthie | January 30, 2009, 10:46 pm@James,
Agree with you.
Some lazy time is appealing and reinvigorates, however remember I’m on a early start up timming with TOC – The Online Circle and IMA – Internet Marketing Academy (which you’ll be more than welcomed in the future) nad just makes a little bit more complicated than a full time job.
Actually I feel like 2 full time jobs in a space of time of a part time job, if you know what I mean.
Glad and happy as i couldn’t wish more.
However working az.

Sure is keeping me busy,
Sure is paying the bills
Sure is not allowing some free time as I had before in a full time position
Sure it gave me back control of my time
Cheers
