I think he could have handled it better and he should have been clear in disclosing at the start of the discussion however Arlington has really lost a lot of respect in the IT world over the past few years. He has been trying a little to hard to compete with Leo on the area of creditability for too long. Disclosing personal interest is a huge priority for any type of journalism and isn't a slight against a journalist but just puts their opinion into context. Especially since the process of purchasing and paying for an item has a lot of impact on it's perceived value. Maybe it is a one week review unit but what if the marketing manager at Palm says just keep at the end of the week to journos that that give good reviews.
