After much speculation, Twitter launched last week its advertising platform “Promoted Tweets”.
However is still not clear how the whole thing works

Twitter itself in set up a video explaining the mechanics of paid Twitter in 140 seconds. Using the example HashtagTees , the video is a tour showing how you can promote a particular tweet that only appears at the top of search results. How you can interact, etc, etc, just watch the video….
